Zora Park

Zora Park is a young zebra who grows up in the plains of Ethiopia. While confident in herself and how much she stands out against the beige landscape of her upbringing, her life is flipped upside down after she learns her family will be moving to the big city.

Zora's narrative follows her roller coaster of anxiety and anticipation as she tackles fear of change. Will she lose her identity and become a small fish in a big pond?

This project focused on character development and emphasized full narrative story-telling even if all aspects of the narrative are not fully realized.

After careful construction of a character using strong shape and value, setting and other visual cues were introduced to flesh out the personality and story arc. Targeted market was heavily emphasized throughout the project. Zora is meant to support a children's story in print.
